Published semi-weekly from Mar. 20, 1750, to Mar. 14, 1752. Of the 208 numbers all were by Samuel Johnson except no. 10, by Hester Mulso, afterward Mrs. Chapone; no. 30, by Catherine Talbot; no. 97, by Richardson; no. 44 and 100, by Elizabeth Carter. Parts of no. 15 and 107 are by unknown correspondents.
